Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy describes the rules and procedures for cancelling orders, services, and subscriptions on the ROOPAY SHOPPE™ platform operated by RBUY Marketing Private Limited. Cancellation rules vary depending on the stage of the order and the party initiating the cancellation. Please read the relevant sections carefully before placing an order.

2. Buyer Cancellation

Before Seller Confirms (Full Refund)

If you cancel your order before the seller confirms it (within the 24-hour seller confirmation window), you are entitled to a full refund of the order amount plus the 5% platform charge you paid. The refund is credited instantly to your Roopay BV wallet (Discount BV restored first, then Roopay BV).

After Seller Confirms (Subject to Seller Policy)

Once the seller has confirmed your order and begun the packing process, cancellation is subject to the individual seller's cancellation policy listed on their store page. In most cases, if the order has not yet been dispatched, the seller may agree to cancel with a full refund. Once dispatched, cancellation is at the seller's discretion.

After Delivery — 24-Hour Cancellation Window

After delivery, you have a 24-hour window to raise a cancellation request if the item is significantly not as described, damaged, or incorrect. Raise the request from your order page. After 25 hours from delivery confirmation, the order is automatically finalised and seller payment is released.

Return Window — 7 Days After Delivery

Separately from the 24-hour cancellation, you may request a return of a delivered product within 7 days of delivery. The seller reviews and approves or rejects the return (Roopay admin steps in only for disputes). On an approved return you receive a full refund to your Roopay wallet; the order amount and return-shipping cost are borne by the seller. Roopay Shoppe charges you nothing for a valid return.

3. Seller Cancellation

Auto-cancellation (no response): If a seller does not confirm or reject an order within 24 hours of placement, the Platform automatically cancels the order. The buyer receives a full refund including the 5% platform charge, credited instantly to Roopay BV.

Seller-initiated cancellation: Sellers may cancel a confirmed order before dispatch for valid reasons (e.g. sudden stock unavailability). In such cases, the buyer receives a full refund including the 5% charge. Repeated seller-initiated cancellations may result in listing suspension.

5% charge refund: On all platform-side or seller-side cancellations (not buyer-initiated after dispatch), the buyer's 5% platform charge is fully refunded. The seller's 5% charge is not applicable as no completed order occurred.

4. Service & Biller Cancellation

Payments made to billers (utility bills, telecom recharges, insurance premiums, government payments) are typically non-cancellable once the payment has been confirmed by the biller's system. If a biller payment fails or is declined after your BV was debited, the amount is automatically reversed to your Roopay BV wallet within 24 hours. Contact the biller directly for service-level disputes.

5. Account & Subscription Cancellation

You may request closure of your Roopay Shoppe account at any time by contacting support. Account closure is processed after all pending transactions, withdrawals, and open orders are settled. Annual subscription/renewal fees are non-refundable once paid. BV wallet balances at the time of closure are refunded (net of any deductions) to your registered bank account within 15 business days, after KYC verification and admin approval.

6. How to Cancel — Step by Step

  1. Log in to your Roopay Shoppe account on the web platform or mobile app.
  2. Navigate to Orders from your dashboard or profile menu.
  3. Select the order you wish to cancel.
  4. Click “Cancel Order” if the cancellation window is still open (the button is only visible during eligible windows).
  5. Select a reason for cancellation from the dropdown menu.
  6. Confirm the cancellation using your account password (2FA may be required).
  7. Your refund will be processed as per the applicable policy above and you will receive an SMS/WhatsApp/email confirmation.
